CNM Governing Board Seeks to Fill Vacant Seat
The Governing Board of Central New Mexico Community College is accepting applications for an individual to fill the Governing Board's District 2 position that has been vacated. The position will be filled through a selection process and appointment by the other six Board members currently serving. Read more.

Tax Help New Mexico Opens to Public Feb. 1
Tax Help New Mexico, the free tax preparation service for New Mexicans who earn less than $50,000 a year and for those who are age 65 and older, will open to the public on Feb. 1. Beginning this 2012 tax season, the service is being operated in partnership between CNM and the United Way of Central New Mexico. Read more.

Student Resource Fair Showcases Community Resources
The  Student Community Assistance Resource Fairs (SCARF) at Westside and Montoya campuses will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Jan. 31 and Feb. 1 respectively. A variety of CNM departments and more than 18 external organizations will be on hand to inform students about the resources that are available to them at CNM and in the community. Read more.

Learn Healthy Cooking and Fitness Tips at Free Classes
The first classes of 2012 sponsored by Healthy Meals, Fit for Life—a grant from the US Department of Agriculture— will begin in late January. Classes are free of charge and open to anyone who is interested in learning more about preparing healthy meals and leading a healthy lifestyle. Read more.
